HONDA BAY
for our 2nd day adventure in the beautiful island of Puerto Princesa, Palawan. we went to Honda Bay located at Brgy. Sta. Lourdes. It was about 20-30minutes ride away from the city, and serves as the entry point for Honda Bay tour. |
Hobbai Boat Association is the organization that was given the exclusive rights to operate the tourist service in Honda Bay area. |
now on board... so' excited for the underwater adventure... :) |
PAMBATO REEF
Our first stop is the Pambato Reef which was about 30-40mins boat ride. As we approached our first snorkeling site, we saw the huge floating bamboo raft with a large "Pawikan" shaped roof. |
ooooppps! how can we forget to take picture first before we jumped on the water... |
Pambato Reef gave me a very exciting, unforgettable first time underwater experience. It was so cool seeing lots of coral here. The water in this area is kinda deep but the fun and excitement of having able to see all those beautiful corals below can take away your breath and so do your fears (big thanks to our boatman-cum-reef guide for accompanied us). When i saw all those beautiful corals down there, i wished i were a real diver so i could go deeper and enjoyed more underwater sights. |
Pambato Reef, also known as "mini Tubbataha", has become oneof the well known tourist spots in Honda Bay, Puerto Princesa Palawan. |
the view was really astonishing... can't help to strike a pose :) |
We had to leave Pambato reef for the next island hopping and I had literally promised my self that "I shall return"... in this place :D |
bye! bye! Pambato Reef :'( |
SNAKE ISLAND
Second stop, was the Snake Island. It's called Snake Island because it shaped like a snake when viewed from the sky. Many people love this island from all other islands in the bay because of the variety of fish found here. |
my friends and I spending our time snorkeling. We saw different kind of fishes. We were able to feed them too. It was really awesome feeling interacting with fishes and fun. Sayang lang! we don't have underwater camera with us. maybe, I should start saving to get a underwater camera... just in case... for our next underwater adventure. |

The Crocodile Farm and conservation center breeds crocodile to preserve the wildlife. |

On display is one of the largest crocodiles ever seen alive and the bones of the largest wild crocodile ever to hit Puerto Princesa |
BAKER's HILL
next stop was the Baker's Hill. The place is known for its freshly baked goodies, cheap but very delicious. Another best place for picture taking, the owner filled their garden with funny, colorful, life size figurines. |
